Byzantine Mosaics

True to the traditional techniques, every piece is completely handmade. The artist starts with threads of enameled glass "imported" from Venice. Piece-by-piece, the glass is cut into tiny shapes which are, in turn, used to form the different designs comprising the mosaic. The pieces are secured using a special, highly-resistant putty. All mountings are made of the finest brass. The filigree work is done entirely by hand.
