Ciao! I’m Holly Anselmi, the owner of The Italian Dish in Birmingham, MI.
My store's journey originally started halfway across the world on a trip to Italy in the Fall of 2003. Connecting with my Italian heritage I fell further in love with the culture and the importance they place on gathering together in the kitchen or around the dinner table. I knew I had to bring this experience back to the States and set about researching and planning.
The idea flourished and in July 2005, The Italian Dish opened its doors.
It is our mission to offer a true sensory shopping experience. Stepping through our doors the aroma of fresh espresso fills the air, the music of Andrea Bocelli plays in the background and a bounty of beautiful Italian and European ceramics meet your gaze.
We truly believe that entertaining isn’t merely setting a table, it’s creating an atmosphere in which to cherish the company, savor the memories, and make the time together sacred.
